Key Responsibilities
- Provide holistic, patient- and family-centered nursing care across the full lifespan, including neonates, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
- Execute the Standards of Nursing Practice including assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized patient care plans; coordinate care across disciplines and delegate tasks to appropriate care team members
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to critical changes in patient condition in a fast-paced PACU environment
- Participate in shared accountability and decision-making for nursing practices; actively contribute to improving practice standards and the care environment
- Utilize the Epic EMR system for documentation and care coordination; adhere to facility dress code (Royal Blue Scrubs)
Required Qualifications
- Active Minnesota RN License required
- Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
- Minimum 2 years of Critical Care experience (ICU and/or ED) required
- Trauma Level I experience required
- Experience with pediatric through geriatric patient populations required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or ARC) required
- Demonstrated ability to interpret cardiac rhythms required
- MN DHS Net Study and Fingerprinting required for all patient-facing positions
- Candidates with a permanent address within 35 miles of the facility are considered local travelers and may be subject to an adjusted rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a high-volume Level I Trauma and/or Level II Pediatric Trauma setting
- Familiarity with NICU-level acuity or Women and Children's care environments
- Strong background managing complex, multi-system critical care patients in a rotating shift environment
