Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Must-Have: - Experience with recovering patients from various surgeries, excluding hearts - Pediatric experience required - Critical care experience strongly preferred - Ability to monitor patients with nerve blocks, chest tube insertions, central lines, intubation, and A-lines Description: Urgent need for a registered nurse in the PACU. BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH certifications are required. Position is Monday to Friday with call required. Strong experience with pediatric patients is essential. Critical care experience is highly preferred. Must assist with coverage in Pre-Op. Experience is needed in recovering orthopedic, neurological, general, urological, dental, gynecology, and pediatric ENT surgeries. Nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients post-surgery and managing various lines as needed. A comprehensive understanding of pain management techniques is necessary. Knowledge of emergency procedures and medications is critical. Candidates must be prepared for a diverse range of surgical cases and patient demographics, including adolescents and geriatrics. Experience with charting systems is preferred. Team members will collaborate closely with respiratory, pharmacy, and other support services.
