Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool. This position requires flexibility to float between various pediatric units, including PICU, NICU, pediatric med-surg, pediatric PACU, pediatric emergency department boarders, and postpartum/mother-baby units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients across multiple units.
• Assist in patient assessments, treatment planning, and care delivery in critical care settings.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while adhering to safety protocols.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Must have experience in PACU, PICU, and NICU.
• A minimum of 2 years of PICU experience is required.
• Pediatric PACU experience is highly preferred.
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS are required.
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification is required; pending submissions are accepted.
• Epic experience is necessary.
• Must adhere to the float policy.
• VA nursing license must be current; pending applications will be considered.

Scheduling and Hours:

• Nights: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00).
• Full-time commitment of 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required.
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed.
• Time off may be approved for a maximum of 40 hours; no requests for time off will be approved in the first 2 weeks of the assignment.
