CVPICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced CVPICU Registered Nurse to join a dynamic team in a vibrant Pediatric Cardiology Intensive Care Unit. The unit is known for its excellence in care for patients with congenital heart disease and has received multiple awards for outstanding outcomes.

Shift Details

• Shift: 3x12 hours, Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 based on patient acuity.
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule with holiday rotation.

Job Responsibilities

The CVPICU Registered Nurse will:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients with cardiac conditions.
• Utilize advanced nursing skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Record and manage patient data and documentation using the EPIC system.
• Participate in educational opportunities and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac ICU experience required.
• Experience in CV and pediatric nursing preferred.
• Experience with Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD) is highly preferred.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Current RN license in South Carolina or multi-state/compact RN license is required.
• Certifications: PALS and BLS (American Heart Association accepted).
• Preferred certifications: ACLS (American Heart Association accepted).

Additional Information

• Floating within the facility may be required based on needs.
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are welcomed.
• All requests for time off must be provided at the time of submission and will be approved based on unit needs.
• Guaranteed hours subject to potential cancellation of one shift every two weeks.
• This unit does not accept travel pairs.
