- Setting: Pediatric critical care and ECMO services supporting NICU, PICU, and CVPICU
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Current Registered Nurse license required
- BLS and PALS certifications required
- Experience with Cardiohelp required
- Strong critical care background supporting pediatric, neonatal, and ICU patients
- Experience with ECMO management, including VA ECMO and VV ECMO
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and rotating unit needs as assigned
- Epic experience preferred
- Charge nurse experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Serve as an ECMO pump specialist for pediatric and neonatal patients with cardiac and non-cardiac needs
- Monitor and manage VA ECMO and VV ECMO support safely and effectively
- Provide bedside pediatric ICU nursing care when ECMO patients are not present
- Float between NICU, PICU, and CVPICU based on unit needs
- Maintain a 1:2 patient ratio while delivering high-quality, compassionate care
- Operate Cardiohelp systems and participate in ongoing drills, education, and competency development
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, phlebotomy, and social services
- Support patients with complex diagnoses and advanced monitoring needs
- Follow established protocols, infection prevention practices, and unit-specific procedures
