Pediatric Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Michigan
• At least 2 years of inpatient Registered Nurse experience
• At least 2 years of adult clinical experience
• Pediatric nursing experience preferred
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred
• Strong teamwork, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Ability to provide safe, comprehensive care for patients of all ages older than 28 days

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient nursing care to neuro, orthopedic, medical-surgical, and pediatric patients.
• Assess patient conditions, develop individualized nursing care plans, administer treatments, and evaluate clinical outcomes.
• Support patients recovering from trauma, orthopedic and neurological procedures, and general pediatric conditions.
• Monitor for changes in patient status and promptly communicate concerns to the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, families, and other healthcare professionals to promote safe, high-quality patient care.
• Educate patients and families about medications, treatment plans, recovery, and discharge needs.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation in the electronic health record.
• Float to other inpatient units when needed while maintaining professional standards, continuity of care, and patient safety.
