• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,070 - $2,180
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Shift Pattern: Day and night rotation in 6-week intervals
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Patient Ratio: 3:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Charting System: Epic
• Unit Type: Pediatric Cardiac Stepdown / Pediatric PCU

Job Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license in hand
• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric cardiac stepdown nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Epic electronic health record experience required
• Strong travel nurse experience preferred
• 2 supervisor references required at time of submission, with at least 1 manager or supervisor reference
• Experience with pediatric cardiac patients, trachs, vents, and post-op cardiac care
• Ability to float as needed to other related units
• Must meet all compliance requirements prior to start

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients with complex cardiac conditions
• Monitor and manage patients recovering from cardiac procedures and surgeries
• Care for patients with tracheostomies, ventilators, high-flow nasal cannula, and inotrope support
• Support post-op cath lab and CTICU stepdown patients
• Administer medications, blood products, and advanced therapies as ordered
• Perform cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and ongoing patient assessments
• Maintain safe, accurate documentation in Epic
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver exceptional patient-centered care
• Float to other units when needed based on assignment demands
