Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric PACU Duration: 17 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years pediatric PACU experience required License: RN license required Certifications: BLS and PALS required Must-Have: Epic experience required Description: The position involves independent peri-anesthetic management of complex surgical and procedural patients. The role includes caring for a varied case load of surgical and procedural pediatric patients. Evening and night shifts available with flexibility. Candidates must pass a telemetry test prior to starting. This position requires experience with a patient ratio of 1. Travelers must have recent acute care experience within the last 3 years. Preferred qualifications include previous charge experience. Interdisciplinary support is available from various teams, including IV and respiratory services. Specific skills include but are not limited to: End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, airway assessment, and management of ventilated patients. Competency in blood product administration and care of pediatric patients is essential. Experience with various surgical procedures, including those in neuro, orthopedics, and general surgery is necessary. The environment is designed to be healing and supportive for pediatric patients and their families. Travelers must float as needed within the facility. Candidates should be prepared for passing critical assessments related to telemetry and rhythm recognition. The facility is recognized for specialized care and commitment to pediatric health.
