Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year pediatric experience preferred License: Valid state license required Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: Pediatric experience preferred Description: The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care to pediatric patients. This position will float between units as needed. On-call may be required based on unit census. Weekends are required with 5 shifts in a 6-week period. The expected patient ratios are 1:3-5. Charge experience is preferred but not required. Familiarity with Epic charting system is necessary. Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, breastfeeding support, and central line care is desired. The daily patient census is approximately 27. Support services include physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. The patient population includes adolescents, infants, and pediatrics. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities. Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment.
