Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse – Texas

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: West Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio; every other weekend required; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule; float rotation to other acute care units as needed

Requirements:

  • Active RN license (Compact license preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required (at least one prior contract)
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
  • Proficiency in Epic electronic medical record system
  • Demonstrated competency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, central line and PICC line care, blood product administration, heparin and IV insulin protocols, high-flow nasal cannula, wound care/wound vac, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
  • Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
  • Willingness to float to other acute care units within the facility
  • 2 professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
