Travel Nurse RN - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in Seattle, WA

Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit setting, including management of critically ill pediatric patients. Manage complex lines and devices including PICC/central lines, CVP, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, port-a-cath access, syringe pumps, and wound vacs.

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit setting, including management of critically ill pediatric patients
• Perform and assist with advanced respiratory interventions including breathing treatments, CPAP/BiPAP, high-frequency ventilators, oscillators, and trach care
• Manage complex lines and devices including PICC/central lines, CVP, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, port-a-cath access, syringe pumps, and wound vacs
• Administer blood and blood products; obtain 12-lead EKGs; assist with procedure sedation and RSI (Rapid Sequence Intubation)
• Float to NICU or other units within skill set as needed
• Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of PICU or pediatric critical care experience required (2 years strongly preferred)
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• Experience with critical care, ENT, general surgery, orthopedics, and pre-op/post-op settings
• 2 references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred
• CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) experience preferred
• First-time travelers with qualifying PICU experience are welcome to apply
