    Registered Nurse – PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit setting, including critical care management for pediatric patients
    • Perform and manage advanced respiratory interventions including breathing treatments, CPAP/BiPAP, high-frequency ventilators, oscillators, and trach care
    • Administer blood and blood products; manage CVP monitoring and obtain 12-lead EKGs
    • Operate and maintain complex equipment including PICC/central lines, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vacs, and port-a-cath/vascular devices
    • Support procedural sedation and Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI) drug administration
    • Float to NICU or other units within skill set as needed to meet unit demands
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
    • Minimum of 1 year of PICU or pediatric critical care experience (2 years strongly preferred)
    • BLS certification required
    • PALS certification required
    • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
    • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Previous charge nurse experience
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
    • CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) experience
    • Background in ENT, general surgery, orthopedics, or pre-op/post-op care
