    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit)

    Location

    Seattle, WA | Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite | Every other weekend required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit setting, including critical care management for pediatric patients
    • Perform and manage advanced respiratory interventions including breathing treatments, CPAP/BiPAP, high-frequency ventilators, oscillators, and trach care
    • Administer blood and blood products; manage CVP lines, PICC/central lines, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, and port-a-cath access
    • Assist with and support procedure sedation and RSI (Rapid Sequence Intubation); obtain 12-lead EKGs and manage chest tube setup and care
    • Provide pre-op and post-op care; support ENT, general surgery, and orthopedic patient populations as needed
    • Float to NICU or other units within skill set as required by unit needs
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
    • Minimum of 2 years of PICU or pediatric critical care experience
    • BLS and PALS certifications required
    • Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
    • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
    • Two professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Previous charge nurse experience preferred
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred
    • CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) experience preferred
    • Experience with wound VAC, traction/halo/pin care, and triple lumen catheters
