    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit)

    Location

    Seattle, WA | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Every other weekend required | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in a high-acuity PICU environment
    • Perform and manage advanced respiratory interventions including breathing treatments, CPAP/BiPAP, high-frequency ventilators, oscillators, and trach care
    • Manage complex lines and devices including PICC/central lines, CVP, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, port-a-cath access, syringe pumps, and wound vacs
    • Administer blood and blood products; obtain 12-lead EKGs; assist with procedure sedation and RSI (Rapid Sequence Intubation)
    • Float to NICU or other units within scope of skill set as needed to meet unit demands
    • Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
    • Minimum 2 years of PICU or pediatric critical care experience
    • BLS and PALS certifications required
    • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
    • 2 references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
    • Must commit to all RTO and scheduling requests being submitted upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO may not be considered
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Previous charge nurse experience preferred
    • NRP and CRRT certifications preferred
    • Experience in ENT, general surgery, orthopedics, or pre-op/post-op settings
    • First-time travelers with qualifying PICU experience are welcome to apply
