Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting
• Float to other units including NICU, CV PICU, ED, stepdown, and med/surg as needed; floating is a requirement and candidates must be prepared to comply with facility float expectations
• Deliver safe, age-appropriate nursing care with an appropriate assignment provided in each float area
• Maintain compliance with all facility policies and travel compliance requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio State RN license or Compact RN license required and must be in hand prior to start
• Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience; first-time travelers considered with closer to 3 years of PICU experience
• Recent Level 1 PICU experience required
• 2 supervisory references required at time of submission; at least one reference must hold a manager or supervisor title
• Must not have worked permanently at this facility within the past 2 years
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience floating across multiple pediatric or critical care units
• Familiarity with high-acuity pediatric patient populations including cardiovascular and neonatal care
• Prior travel nursing experience
