**Join Our Dedicated Team in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit!**
**Job Description:**
- **Location:** 509 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801
- **Shift:** 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
- **Unit:** Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
- **Patient Ratios:**
- PICU: 1 RN to 1-2 patients
- Stepdown: 1 RN to 2-3 patients
- **Unit Highlights:**
- 9 beds dedicated to the highest level of pediatric care
- Supportive staffing with unit secretaries and techs
- Advanced equipment including Alaris pumps
- Documentation via Cerner
- **Experience Requirements:**
- Minimum of 1 year of PICU experience
- Certification: PALS required
- **Floating Policy:**
- Opportunity to float to Pediatrics and NICU
- **Scheduling:**
- 6-week schedule requiring 3 weekend shifts
- Self-scheduling options available
- **Duties Include:**
- IV starts and central line dressing changes
- Hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Trach care, tube feeding, and placement
- ICP monitoring and assistance with lumbar punctures
- **Dress Code:**
- Navy blue or white scrubs
