Join Our Dynamic PCU Nursing Team!** **Job Description:** - **Location:** Summit Medical Center, 5655 Frist Boulevard - **Unit Name:** PCU (Cost Center: 630/633) **Why You'll Love Working Here:** - **Patient-Centric Environment:** - 34 beds in unit 630 and 25 beds in unit 633 - Patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 during the day and 1:5 to 1:6 at night - Emphasize patient experience with hourly rounding on days and every two hours at night - **Supportive Team Structure:** - 3 techs available when full in unit 630; 2 techs in unit 633 - Utilize techs for patient care and assistance - Experience a "care like family" culture with outstanding teamwork - **Advanced Equipment:** - Work with bipaps, high flow O2, Vapotherm, Alaris pumps, and multiple cardiac drips - Involvement in peritoneal dialysis, wound vacs, and more - **Documentation & Scheduling:** - Utilize Meditech for efficient documentation - Flexible self-scheduling with a commitment to work every other weekend (3 shifts a week) - **Exciting Nursing Skills:** - Critical thinking skills and EKG rhythm interpretation essential - Experience with cardiac drips, insulin drips, and heparin drips required - Preferred: Peritoneal dialysis experience and peripheral IV skills - **Advanced Skills & Procedures:** - Required: ACLS certification - Experience with bipaps, high flow O2, stroke care, and tube feeding - Procedures include: thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, and more **Certifications Required:** - BLS, ACLS **Dress Code:** - Black Scrubs Required **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
