Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

A Registered Nurse is needed for a Stepdown Float Pool position, with the potential to float to various units, providing care for a similar patient population. Candidates will be required to adapt to rotating shifts, as necessary, to meet operational needs.

Shift Details

  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
  • Shift patterns may be variable based on hospital demands.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care in a stepdown setting, ensuring high standards of patient care.
  • Float to designated units as needed, including J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement patient care plans.
  • Participate in ongoing training and orientation, including ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication practices.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty being applied for.
  • Current nursing license issued by Ohio or a Compact State.
  • Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS from AHA or American Red Cross is required.

Additional Requirements

  • Travelers must work at least every other holiday.
  • Successful completion of assessments during orientation is necessary to proceed.
