Registered Nurse (RN) - Stepdown Neuro

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Registered Nurse to join a high-performing team in a Stepdown Neuro unit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to provide advanced patient care, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for those recovering from neurological procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Neuro Stepdown unit.
  • Monitor patient health, vital signs, and ECG rhythms.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in a neuro specialty is required.
  • PCU/Progressive care experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Must hold a valid Ohio nursing license or compact state license.
  • Current certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) are required.
  • Ability to work at least every other holiday is mandatory.

Additional Requirements

  • Completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation, with an acceptable score on both.
