Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Location: Columbus, OH

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Night 3x12s; 36 hrs/week (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)

Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week

Local Pay: $56/hr - 61/hr on W2

Local Candidates: Will accept candidates within 50 miles with local pay


Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of recent experience in RN PCU – Required
  • Current or Conditional Ohio /Compact RN License – Required
  • Current AHA BLS – Required
  • ACLS - Required
  • EPIC experience – Required
  • Floating – OSU
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • *Weekdays and some weekends, rotating holidays. Will be rotating or straight nights.
  • Call Required
  • Driver’s license with address matching candidate demographics – Required

Clinical Experience Required

  • Cardiac telemetry and continuous cardiac monitoring
  • Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
  • BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, oxygen therapy, and ventilated patient care
  • Central lines, PICC lines, peripheral IVs, and IV therapy
  • Heparin and cardiac drip titration
  • IV insulin protocols and insulin drip titration
  • Chest tube and tracheostomy care
  • Feeding tube management
  • Pre/post-hemodialysis care and renal failure management
  • Rapid Response/Code Team experience
  • Experience caring for medically complex adult patients, including cardiac and post-lung-transplant patients
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Teaching hospital experience required
