Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Holiday rotation required
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours - can be low censused in hour increments as needed; unit will typically low census in 4-hour increments
• Work in a 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit with fast-paced, high patient turnover
• Patient population includes post-op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF, post-procedure cath, pacer, defib, ablations, acute CP/MI, med/surg overflow including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbation, respiratory failure, and Fem Pop Bypass
• Typical patient ratio of 1:4
• Must be a hard worker, resilient, able to manage change, work independently, and complete tasks timely
• Scrub colors: any color
• Minimum 1 year of strong cardiac experience required (Cardiac SDU, Intermediate Cardiac, or Cardiac ICU)
• Minimum 2 years of IMC/PCU/Tele experience required
• Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro Drips required
• At least one prior travel assignment must be completed
• Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC charting experience required
• Must be able to pass EKG test during first week of hire
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
