Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse position in a high-volume trauma center located in the Midwest. This role involves providing specialized patient care within a multidisciplinary team, with potential to float across local campuses. The position requires clinical expertise, adherence to protocols, and the ability to manage diverse patient needs during nights shifts.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week, with a start date of 10/05/2026 and end date of 01/04/2027.
  • Required Qualifications: One year of previous stepdown experience, a valid state license for Illinois, a drivers license, a work history/resume, skills checklist completed within the past year, license verification, copy of current certifications, and one supervisory reference at the time of submission.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel contract experience is advantageous.
  • Additional Information:
    • This unit has historically maintained a 1:7 patient ratio.
    • The assignment includes working 1-2 major holidays such as Memorial Day, Independence Day, or Labor Day.
    • Orientation sessions are scheduled on specific dates throughout the year.
    • Certifications required: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA).
    • The role permits local candidates from Madison, Sioux City, Bettendorf, Fort Dodge, Moline, Muscatine, and Rock Island.
    • On-call responsibilities are not included in the schedule.
