Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse position in a healthcare facility. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for individuals in a specialized unit that bridges acute and long-term care. The nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered nursing services while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and professional standards.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Must possess a current, valid registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice, or a temporary/interim RN license. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required. Relevant clinical experience in the specified specialty (progressive care or similar) for a minimum of one year.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred. Professional certification related to the specialty is advantageous.
  • Additional Information: This position involves direct patient care in a progressive care setting, requiring assessment, planning, and documentation of nursing interventions, as well as collaboration within the healthcare team. The RN may be involved in research activities and contributes to quality improvement initiatives in the unit. The role may also include supervising staff and work flow coordination.
