Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience
  • Experience in Progressive Care Unit, telemetry, step-down, or higher-acuity patient care preferred
  • Ability to support med-surg/telemetry and critical care patients as needed
  • Cerner experience preferred
  • Strong assessment, prioritization, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Flu vaccination required; medical, religious exemptions, and declinations allowed
  • Travelers within 50 miles are not accepted for this assignment

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to PCU patients with varying acuity levels
  • Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition
  • Support MS/Tele and critical care patients when assigned or when census requires
  • Float to related inpatient areas as needed based on unit needs and patient volume
  • Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support care plans
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow hospital and unit protocols
  • Promote a patient-centered, team-oriented environment focused on quality outcomes
