Job Summary
A Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse is needed in an acute care facility. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients, focusing on cardiac drip management and titration. Flexibility to float between units and work nights is required.

Job Details

  • Position Description: 1 Year/First Timer PCU/Stepdown RN. Candidates may choose one holiday either Thanksgiving or Christmas but cannot have both. This position requires cardiac drip experience, including titration and management as a hardstop requirement. The role involves floating between units; if overstaffed, travelers are first to float to Telemetry or Medical-Surgical floors.
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
  • Education Requirements & Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience, with at least 1 year of clinical experience in a similar setting.
  • Location Requirements: Valid state license (compact license accepted).
  • Schedule: Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac telemetry, managing vasoactive drips, and working on Epic charting system.
  • Additional Information:
    • Must be able to manage and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips with a hard stop requirement.
    • Experience with cardiac monitoring and related procedures is essential.
    • Candidates should be prepared to work every other weekend and three of the five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
    • References: Two references covering one year within the last three years are required.
