Registered Nurse (RN) - Respiratory

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on the Respiratory unit. This role requires a dedicated professional with a strong background in telemetry and stepdown nursing. The RN will primarily care for patients with respiratory needs, including those admitted with COVID-19, but may also float to various medical-surgical units as needed.

Shift Information

  • Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
  • Every third weekend is required
  • No call requirement

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care within the Respiratory unit.
  • Float between various medical-surgical units including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED/Med-Surg boarders as necessary.
  • Utilize Epic EMR proficiently, with a focus on accurate patient documentation and management.
  • Perform telemetry monitoring and demonstrate competency in reading telemetry on day one; failing to meet competency standards may result in termination.

Qualifications

  • Active Ohio RN license required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in Telemetry and/or Stepdown nursing.
  • Proficiency in Epic EMR is essential; refresher classes are not available.

Additional Information

Holiday coverage is required. This position offers a total of 36 hours per week, ensuring a robust work-life balance while providing essential care to patients in need.
