Job Title: Step down Registered Nurse

Location: Charleston, WV

Setting: Hospital

Pay Range: 1811.47 - 1902.04

Schedule: 19:00 - 07:00

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Candidate Type: Traveler

Requirements: WV/Compact RN License; 2 years of RN experience; 1 year in-specialty experience; BLS, ACLS, Fit Test, CPI (Travelers can get CPI done with Qualivis); TNCC preferred; 2 years of work history; RN Lic. verification (NURSYs pulled within 2 days of sub date - clean lic. required - hits submitted for case-by-case basis approval); Flu Shot (must be able to provide medical proof if refused); proof of Covid Vaccination (not required); ability to complete fit test; ability to travel up to 100 miles for fit test.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical nursing care to trauma and surgical patients in the step-down unit.
  • Monitor patient vitals, administer medications, and manage vents and telemetry equipment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Float within scope to meet the facility’s needs, including possible coverage for floor beds only.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including CPR and conscious sedation procedures.
