Job Summary:
The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a hospital setting. Reporting to the Nurse Manager or Director, the Clinical Nurse utilizes the nursing process to coordinate and deliver care to patients with complex clinical needs. This role involves assessing patient conditions, developing individualized care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote positive outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing) or ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) from an accredited school of Nursing; Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC); 0 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) or MSN (Master of Science in Nursing) from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Additional Information: The role involves performing bedside point of care testing as required for the patient care plan. The nurse will participate in performance improvement activities, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration. A focus on patient education, safety, and complex patient assessment is essential.
