Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Night Shift Located in a short-term acute care facility, this position involves floating between units to provide specialized patient care. The role requires a compassionate and flexible healthcare professional to support patients with diverse neurological and neurological surgical conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, and neurosurgical cases.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications; valid license in the state (compact license accepted); at least 1 year of nursing experience; experience with telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and management of cardiac and vascular infusion therapies.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a community hospital or trauma level II center; familiarity with electronic health record systems such as EPIC; experience in neuroscience, neurology, or ICU settings.
• Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care on the neuro telemetry unit, monitor neurological status, manage cardiac drips and other vascular infusions, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services, and ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
• Additional Information: Candidates should be prepared to work a schedule that includes six weekend shifts over a six-week period and to work 3 of the 5 major holidays. Prior experience working at a similar healthcare facility is preferred. References covering the last three years are required, and candidates must include responses to pre-submittal questions regarding prior work at a similar facility.
