Registered Nurse – PACU

Location: Midland, TX 79701
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 5x8 hrs | 12:00 PM–8:30 PM | Monday–Friday
 

Requirements:

  • 2 years of RN experience preferred
  • PACU/Phase I recovery experience required
  • Strong pediatric experience required
  • Travel experience required; first-time travelers may be considered with strong experience
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS & NIH required
  • Level II Trauma experience preferred
  • Cerner experience preferred
  • Critical care experience strongly preferred
  • Must be experienced with ortho, neuro, general, urology, dental, GYN, and pediatric ENT cases
  • Experience with nerve blocks, chest tubes, central lines, intubation, and arterial lines
  • Patient ratio: 1:2

Description:
PACU RN responsible for recovering patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, following surgical procedures. The unit handles all surgeries except cardiac cases, with heavy volumes of orthopedic, general, GYN, neuro, urology, dental, and pediatric ENT procedures. Nurses will also assist with Pre-Op Holding coverage as needed. Daily census is approximately 30 patients.
