Job Summary: The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients within a designated time frame. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation. The RN ensures patient and employee safety, communicates effectively, and contributes to professional development.

Required Qualifications:
• Minimum one (1) year of relevant nursing experience
• ASN degree
• Illinois state RN License in good standing
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Preferred Qualifications:
• BSN degree

Department Specific Job Functions:
• Assess ortho and medical/surgical patients every shift
• Educate patients on wound care, mobility, self-care, medication management, and care transition needs
• Coordinate with physician and surgeon partners for patient care
• Delegate and monitor interventions of HCT staff
• Set up ortho traction and manipulate surgical traction devices
• Manage wound appliances such as wound vacs, drains, pouches, and urological devices
