Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various surgical specialties and be committed to providing exceptional patient care in the operating room.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room for surgical procedures.
  • Perform nursing duties related to patient care before, during, and after surgery.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe and effective surgical interventions.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and manage anesthesia as directed by anesthesia providers.
  • Maintain sterile environments and comply with infection control protocols.
  • Provide patient education and support to patients and their families.

Qualifications

  • Active RN license required.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required (American Heart Association only).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Operating Room, with proficiency in General Surgery, Cataracts, Robotic Surgery, Orthopedics, and GYN specialties.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekend call as required (currently 1 in 4 weekends).
  • Comfortable working 10-hour shifts with a schedule of 4 days per week.

Schedule

The position requires 10-hour shifts from 07:00 to 17:00, with no scheduled weekends, but weekend call is mandatory.

Additional Information

Holiday availability is required. We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence in patient care.
