Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Dover-Foxcroft, ME This position offers an opportunity to work in a critical access hospital with a variety of surgical cases. The role involves circulating and supporting OR procedures, with a focus on case types such as general, orthopedic, gynecological, obstetric, endoscopic, and urological surgeries.
Job Details
- Position: Operating Room (OR) Nurse
- Location: Dover-Foxcroft, ME
- Shift: Days, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with 4-8 call shifts per month and 1 weekend of call. The department is closed on Fridays.
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: RN licensure with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; 2 years of OR experience in the specified case types or 1 year with comprehensive experience across all specialties; proficient in circulating and monitoring cardiac rhythms; Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required if candidate is comfortable with EMRs.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cerner electronic medical records system.
- Additional Information: RNs will circulate cases, monitor patients post-operatively, assist with pre-op interviews, and learn responsibilities related to patient care before and after surgery. Call coverage is required, with a 20-minute response time; support includes no anesthesia on-site, and a supportive supervision team is available. Free parking and a dedicated orientation period of 4 shifts are provided.
