Job Details
- Location: Not specified, located within a 100-mile radius of the facility.
- Shift: Days, 8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with weekend, holiday, and on-call requirements.
- Schedule: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Current NYS Registered Nurse license; BLS certification; ACLS preferred; experience is not required.
- Responsibilities include providing patient care in the operating room, recognizing safety issues, operating clinical equipment, and potentially assuming duties as a charge nurse.
- Additional clinical skills include lethal dysrhythmia interpretation and knowledge of aseptic practices in surgical settings.
- On-call response time of 30 minutes is required.
- Preceptorship, charge, and leadership abilities are preferred for experienced RNs.
- Must be able to function well under stress and possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Must recognize safety issues and be capable of assessing and implementing the use of lifts to move patients safely.
- May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse.
- Knowledge of clinical equipment instrumentation and aseptic techniques in OR/Anesthesia Service Unit (ASU) setting is necessary.
