Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong focus on Vascular and Plastics surgery. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive background in both open and endovascular vascular cases, as well as plastics surgery.

Position Overview

  • Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Department: Operating Room
  • Shift: Days, with weekend and on-call requirements
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
  • Years of Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years in Operating Room settings
  • Patient Ratio: 1:1

Responsibilities

The Operating Room RN will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in surgical procedures with a focus on Vascular and Plastics surgery.
  • Participating in an on-call rotation with requirements for overnight and weekend availability.
  • Collaborating with surgical teams to provide optimal patient care before, during, and after surgery.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and procedural standards within the operating room.

Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Required Certifications: CNOR preferred.
  • Experience: Strong background in Vascular surgery and Plastics surgery required.
  • Preferred Skillset: Experience in General, GU/GYN, Ortho trauma, Ortho joints, Neurosurgery, ENT, Pediatrics, and Endovascular procedures.
  • Personality Fit: Candidates should be flexible, accountable, timely, and a strong team player.

Equipment & Technology

  • Equipment Used: Storz, Stryker, Olympus, Intuitive Robot.
  • Electronic Medical Records: Epic.

Dress Code

Teal scrubs will be provided by the institution. Please adhere to the issued dress code while on duty.
