Travel Nurse Job Details

Operating Room RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Ohio
• Operating Room RN experience with knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile technique, and perioperative workflows
• Ability to work four 10-hour day shifts and participate in a rotating call schedule
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Ability to complete required credentialing, competency validation, background screening, and health documentation before starting

Operating Room RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Prepare operating rooms, equipment, supplies, and medications according to procedure requirements
• Perform circulating and/or scrub nursing responsibilities within scope of practice and demonstrated competency
• Maintain strict aseptic technique and support surgical safety protocols
• Complete patient assessments, documentation, counts, specimen handling, and handoffs accurately
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and other members of the perioperative team
• Respond to urgent surgical needs and participate in the assigned call rotation
• Adapt to operational needs, including potential reassignment to another appropriate unit or care setting when necessary
