Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse with a strong background in cardiovascular (CV) and general surgery. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in a variety of surgical procedures and have a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Job Responsibilities

  • Circulate and scrub during surgical procedures, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Assist in cardiovascular surgeries, including but not limited to vascular procedures, aortic surgeries, and vein harvesting.
  • Participate in orthopedic, general, ENT, urology, robotics, and gynecological surgeries.
  • Maintain a sterile environment and assist surgeons in preparing instruments and supplies.
  • Monitor patients pre, intra, and post-operation to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Handle emergency situations with a calm and effective approach.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year in an operating room specialty.
  • Experience in cardiovascular surgery is mandatory.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Possession of a valid registered nursing license, with compact or state-specific licensure.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in vascular, orthopedic, general, ENT, urology, robotics, and gynecological skills.

Work Schedule

This position requires a 3x12 day schedule or a 4x10 day schedule. On-call responsibilities are included, with a commitment to weekends and holidays as needed.

Additional Information

  • Average daily census of 22 surgical cases.
  • Free parking available for staff.
  • Charting software utilized: Cerner & Accudose.
