- Position Description:
The role involves delivering nursing care in the Operating Room, including supporting cardiovascular (open-heart) cases and general surgical procedures, utilizing EPIC charting. Experience with CVOR and EPIC charting is required, with a minimum of two years in the specialty. The position requires classification as a full-time role, scheduled for 12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM on weekends, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. - Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred; 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred; BLS certification recognized by the American Heart Association; RN license in the state of Texas or a compact license. - Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting cardiovascular (open-heart) surgery and general operating room procedures, with proficiency in EPIC charting. - Additional Information:
The nurse will assess patient needs, administer medications and treatments following protocols, document care, and provide education to patients and families. The position may require support for general OR cases as needed, with initial start date on 11/09/2026 and end date on 02/08/2027. The candidate must disclose RTO upfront prior to an offer.
