Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) position involves providing high-quality patient care in a surgical environment. The role requires a commitment to safety, patient dignity, and achieving optimal surgical outcomes.

Shift Details

• Shift: 4x10 hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Ratios: 1:1 patient to nurse
• On-Call Requirements: One day each week, one late shift weekly, and one weekend every 5-6 weeks

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care during surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure patient safety
• Monitor patients before, during, and after surgeries
• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
• Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines, including the use of a radiation badge
• Floating between multiple locations may be required based on staffing needs

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience required
• Current RN license in South Carolina or a Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications preferred
• Experience as a first-time traveler is not accepted

Miscellaneous

• Block schedules may be accommodated with manager approval.
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are welcome, at a reduced rate.
• All requests for time off (RTO) must be included at the time of submission.
• Guaranteed hours: The facility may call off one shift every two weeks.
