Travel Nursing Job Details

Operating Room Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas or a compact-state license
- At least 2 years of recent Operating Room Registered Nurse or perioperative nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Ability to work scheduled day shifts and participate in operating room call coverage
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel assignment
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Serve as the circulating Registered Nurse during surgical procedures
- Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and other members of the perioperative team
- Complete preoperative nursing assessments and verify patient, procedure, surgical site, and consent information
- Maintain a safe, sterile, and efficient operating room environment
- Monitor patient status throughout procedures and respond promptly to clinical changes
- Document perioperative nursing care accurately and communicate relevant information during patient handoffs
- Assist with operating room preparation, equipment checks, specimen handling, and postoperative patient transfer
- Participate in assigned call coverage and support continuity of surgical services
