Job Summary:
Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) OR at a healthcare facility. This position involves providing perioperative patient care in various surgical service lines, including General, Urology, Spine, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Plastics, Breast Surgery, and Robotics. The RN will collaborate with surgical teams, assist during procedures, and ensure operational efficiency and patient safety.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Dayshift, 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certificate, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification, prior experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Must have service line experience in General, Urology, Spine, GYN, Orthopedics, Plastics, Breasts, and Robotics. The candidate must be willing to float between campuses as needed and possess AHCA (Agency for Health Care Administration) fingerprinting clearance before start.
- Additional Information: The RN demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership skills, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other surgical personnel. Responsibilities include managing supplies, timely case turnovers, communication with families, updating physician preference cards, scrubbing in, assisting during surgeries, and supervising patient care staff.
