Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room / GI (8hr Days)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Days | 5x8-hour shifts, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM | On-call required | Holidays required as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled perioperative nursing care within the Operating Room and GI setting, including circulating, scrubbing, and cleaning of scopes
- Scrub for a variety of surgical specialties including GI, Robotics, General Surgery, Thoracic, GYN, Orthopedics, Urology, and Plastics
- Participate in on-call responsibilities as required by the department
- Float to other units as needed per facility requirements
- Adhere to holiday scheduling requirements as assigned
- Utilize the facility EMR system (Cerner) for accurate and timely documentation
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Pennsylvania (or compact license eligibility)
- Minimum of 2 years of GI nursing experience required
- Demonstrated experience in circulating, scrubbing, and cleaning of scopes
- Ability to scrub for multiple surgical specialties including GI, Robotics, General Surgery, Thoracic, GYN, Orthopedics, Urology, and Plastics
- Ability to meet floating requirements as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-volume OR/GI environment with a large inpatient facility (150+ bed unit)
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR
- Prior travel nursing experience in a perioperative or surgical setting
