    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Neuro/Ortho Spine)

    Location

    New Orleans, LA | Operating Room

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:15–18:45)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide perioperative nursing care with a primary focus on neuro and ortho spine surgical cases, including craniotomies
    • Participate in neuro call coverage as required by the unit
    • Support additional service lines such as general surgery, ENT, and robotic-assisted procedures as needed
    • Complete facility orientation modules as scheduled, typically held five days per week
    • Adhere to facility emergency response protocols, which may include assignment to an emergency team or relief team during declared emergency events
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license — Compact or Louisiana state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in neurosurgery and ortho spine within the operating room setting
    • AHA certifications required
    • NURSYS report must be submitted with profile and must be current (within 4 weeks of submission date)
    • Must live more than 65 miles from the facility (as measured from the address on file with the driver's license to the facility) to be eligible — local travelers are not accepted
    • First-time travelers will not be accepted for this position
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in general surgery, ENT, and/or robotic-assisted surgical procedures
    • Familiarity with facility-based orientation processes and compliance requirements for travel assignments
