    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Operating Room

    Location

    New Orleans, LA | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | 5x8 Hours (Monday–Friday, 6:15 AM – 2:45 PM)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Serve as a circulator in a high-volume operating room environment supporting a diverse surgical caseload
    • Provide perioperative nursing care for adult and pediatric ophthalmology, pediatric orthopedics, pediatric general surgery, and pediatric ENT cases
    • Accurately document patient care and surgical activity using EPIC electronic health records
    • Participate in an on-call rotation as discussed and agreed upon during the interview process
    • In the event of a declared emergency, be prepared to remain at the facility or serve as part of a relief team as directed by unit management
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license – Compact or Louisiana license must be in hand at time of submittal
    • Minimum 3 years of circulator experience in the operating room
    • High proficiency in ophthalmology (adult and pediatric), pediatric orthopedics, pediatric general surgery, and pediatric ENT
    • EPIC experience required
    • AHA certifications required
    • NURSYS report must be submitted with profile and must be current (within 4 weeks of submission date)
    • Must live more than 65 miles from the facility (as measured from the address on file with the driver's license to the facility address) to be eligible
    • This facility does not accept first-time travelers
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working across multiple surgical specialties in a fast-paced OR setting
    • Familiarity with travel assignment expectations, including compliance documentation and orientation requirements
    • Prior experience with module-based facility orientation processes
