Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday–Friday) | On-Call Required (4–6 call shifts per 4-week period; holiday call may be required)
Key Responsibilities
- Circulate general surgery cases across multiple service lines including Surgical Oncology, Colorectal, MIS (DaVinci), Plastics, Endocrine, Pancreatic/Biliary, and Bariatrics
- Scrub general OR cases across the same service lines: Surgical Oncology, Colorectal, Pancreatic/Biliary, MIS (DaVinci), Plastics, Endocrine, and Bariatrics
- Participate in on-call rotation, including potential holiday call assignments
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- Comply with radiation safety protocols; radiation badge required and will be provided
- Be prepared to participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June–November)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required (first-time travelers considered with 5+ years of experience)
- Active South Carolina RN license or multi-state RN license must be in hand at start of contract (candidates with pending SC license may be considered with proof of application or ability to complete the SC walk-through process)
- BLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) required
- ACLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Charting experience with EPIC preferred
- Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Center, teaching facility, or Magnet-designated hospital
- Proficiency in robotic-assisted surgery environments, particularly DaVinci platform
- Broad multi-specialty OR experience spanning both circulating and scrub roles
