    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Operating Room

    Location

    Charleston, SC | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday–Friday) | On-Call Required (4–6 call shifts per 4-week period; holiday call may be required)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Circulate general surgery cases across multiple service lines including Surgical Oncology, Colorectal, MIS (DaVinci), Plastics, Endocrine, Pancreatic/Biliary, and Bariatrics
    • Scrub general OR cases across the same service lines: Surgical Oncology, Colorectal, Pancreatic/Biliary, MIS (DaVinci), Plastics, Endocrine, and Bariatrics
    • Participate in on-call rotation, including potential holiday call assignments
    • Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
    • Comply with radiation safety protocols; radiation badge required and will be provided
    • Be prepared to participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June–November)
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required (first-time travelers considered with 5+ years of experience)
    • Active South Carolina RN license or multi-state RN license must be in hand at start of contract (candidates with pending SC license may be considered with proof of application or ability to complete the SC walk-through process)
    • BLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) required
    • ACLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) required
    • Charting experience with EPIC preferred
    • Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals may be considered on a case-by-case basis
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in a Level I Trauma Center, teaching facility, or Magnet-designated hospital
    • Proficiency in robotic-assisted surgery environments, particularly DaVinci platform
    • Broad multi-specialty OR experience spanning both circulating and scrub roles
