Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (9:00 AM – 9:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care across an active OR environment with 6 rooms and 15–20 cases per day
• Perform scrub and/or circulating duties with a heavy emphasis on orthopedic cases — candidates must be comfortable with orthopedic procedures
• Assist with general surgery, endoscopic procedures, and a variety of surgical specialties
• Participate in holiday and weekend call as expected (approximately 5–6 shifts per month); call is self-sign-up
• Assist with precepting and orienting new staff and fellow travelers as expected by the unit
• May be required to float as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Nebraska RN State License (or pending Nebraska RN license accepted)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required
• Experience in both Teaching Hospital and Community Hospital settings required
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system required
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Labor & Delivery, gynecology, plastics, or podiatry
• Robotics and/or urology surgical experience
• Familiarity with self-scheduling systems in an OR environment
