Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care across approximately 6 operating rooms handling 15–20 cases per day, with a heavy orthopedic focus — candidates must be comfortable with orthopedic cases
• Assist with general surgery, endoscopic procedures, and orthopedic cases as core case types
• Participate in holiday and weekend call (expected 5–6 call shifts per month); call is self-sign-up with no overnight or weekend scheduled shifts
• Assist with precepting and orienting new staff and fellow travelers as expected of all travel staff
• Utilize self-scheduling within a balanced sign-up system managed by the OR lead
• Be available to float to other areas as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Nebraska RN State License (or pending licensure accepted)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
• Experience in both a Teaching Hospital and a Community Hospital setting required
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system required
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Labor & Delivery, gynecology, or plastics
• Background in podiatry, robotics, or urology cases
