Must-Have:
- General OR and trauma experience required.
- Level I trauma experience required.
- Required case experience includes:
- Bariatric: Laparoscopic assisted cases.
- General Surgery: Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection, Hernia repair, Mastectomy, Thyroidectomy, Whipple.
- Client: Cervical fusion, Craniotomy, Laminectomy/discectomy, Lumbar fusion.
- Orthopedic: Arthroscopy, Carpal Tunnel release, Closed reduction and open reduction of fractures.
- Plastic Surgery: Free Flap - Microvascular.
- Transplant: Organ donation.
- Urology: Cystoscopy, Nephrectomy, Prostatectomy.
- Trauma: Amputations, Gunshot/stab wounds, MVA (multiple injuries).
- Emergency Management: Code response, Fire safety, Latex allergy, Malignant hyperthermia.
- Preferred experience with Cerner charting system.
- Required knowledge in administration of blood products, infection control, radiation safety, specimen handling, and universal protocol.
Description:
This position is for a registered nurse specializing in the operating room.
The role involves working with all service lines except cardiovascular.
The schedule is four 12-hour shifts from 10:45 AM to 11:15 PM.
On-call responsibilities are required, typically one week per month.
Weekend coverage is also required, with one shift per month.
The facility has a total of 23 operating rooms.
Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility.
All requested time off must be reviewed and approved by management.
This role requires flexibility and commitment to compliance standards.
Candidates should be prepared to work with various interdisciplinary support teams.
