There are typically 15-22 cases per day in the OR. Experience is needed in general surgery, orthopedic fractures and scopes, plastics, GI, urology, pediatric dental, and surgical oncology. Call is required 2 days per week and 1 weekend per month. Scrubbing and circulating are not required for this position. Travelers will not float to other units. All required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and PALS, particularly for pediatric cases. The charting system in use is Epic, and no additional specific equipment or procedures beyond described are necessary.
