Current BLS certification. Description: This position is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse. The facility has 19 OR suites. Seventeen of these rooms are blocked for scheduled cases. The average number of cases per day is 50. Surgical specialties include Trauma, orthopedic trauma, orthopedic total joints, spine, cardiovascular, vascular, gynecology, gynecological oncology, robotics, general surgery, HPB, bariatrics, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, pain management, and plastics. You will be required to circulate in various surgical cases. Experience in laparoscopic and open abdominal cases is preferred. Skills in orthopedic trauma, cystoscopy, vascular procedures, and robotics are a plus. The candidate must be flexible, self-driven, and a motivated team player. The OR culture emphasizes teamwork and collaboration. Call may be required, with an average of 6 call shifts per 6-week schedule. Holiday work is expected, with travelers working 75% of holidays. Weekend rotation is every 4th weekend. The normal shift time is from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Scheduled shifts may vary based on departmental needs.
